Couldn’t find another product that compares! My son is not a 5 yr old just learning to write.. he’s a 6th grader who wants to work on improving his handwriting. Huge lined paper with room for picture-drawing & fat pencils are beneath him.. I looked at grid paper.. math paper.. calligraphy paper.. etc etc etc.. This book has small enough spaces for letters that he can practice the realistic size that’s used on college ruled paper in his age group, but also has the vertical lines needed to keep him writing in the proper letter space.. writing neatly.. I bought a few practice books for adults as well as some intro to cursive too, so that he doesn’t get too bored with it.. but so far it’s a success. He’s writing more neatly in class, and since I’ve decided to practice calligraphy, we work together, which motivates him more. AND Amazon had all that I needed for that too! 😊
Wish I could say my daughter loves this but she is lsnt a fan of any journal. I, however, have seen a marked improvement in her handwriting since we began using this journal. The squares are perfect for her being able to see the distance she needs betweeen words and the green helps her have an areareness of how far above and below the line she needs to go. It has been a useful aid and one I think was worth the cost of the journal. I had never considered using a grid before and I am glad I found this
The notebooks are wonderful and beautiful
Perfect for homeschooling
We love Channie’s papers. They have improved my 3rd graders handwriting immensely. He enjoys not having to think about spacing and can write faster using it. I wish it came in a less-cute version but he just redecorated the cover 🙂 The size of the lines/boxes is smaller than the loose sheets which was a pleasant surprise to get him used to writing smaller since you can’t always use a separate sheet for writing answers, etc. I with they made loose papers with the boxes this size.
