Using this to help my Grand daughter. Easy to use and very helpful
I consider writing to be an indispensable application of what we learn in ‘reading’ which is necessary to establishing true literacy with good thinking & communication skills. Due to that I like teaching the skill of legible, purposeful & meaningful handwriting to children from an early age. The Channy system helps in the training & habit of lining things up & keeping letter size, & later cursive slant, uniform. We’ll use the lettering notebook to introduce the letters & for initial practice, and then use these daily for noting the date, weather & so forth with brief sentences for practice.
My son started cursive writing a while ago and we kept trying to find a “template” other than the basic ones you find on the market. We really need it a paper with vertical lines too like the European standards. I like this “template” as is easy to work with. As a former teacher, I would say that they need to make some slight changes, like the size of the rows. I find really useful if the child doesn’t have to make the letter so big. Maybe they will add a level 2 🙂 for when the child starts making longer sentences.
